We had a great time last Saturday! Thanks to all of you for coming out and “Lighting It Up”! The lights will remain up for the month of December, making for a fun and festive atmosphere! Sunday December 17th will be our Marina Bay Holiday Market with @white_pine_market_ and businesses along the boardwalk have great deals and specials all month long! This past summer of rain was tough on Marina Bay businesses. If you are able to find your way down to the Marina to support them, they will be grateful! Special thanks to @mayortomkoch @cityofquincy @merielmarinabay and all of our sponsors for making this possible! Happy holidays! (Also, thanks for the many great pictures from members of the public!)

LIGHT IT UP 2023 IS BACK ON! THANK YOU, MAYOR TOM KOCH! Unyielding rainy weekends have had a BIG impact on many of our members. Because of this, we faced a fundraising gap to bring Light It Up back for a second year. We made the sad decision two days ago to cancel for 2023. But…Mayor Koch saw our post, reached out, and offered support – saving the event! We are incredibly grateful to the Mayor for his continued commitment to the neighborhood and business community in Marina Bay! Details to follow…but a lighting ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 25th! Stay tuned!

Last week was a GREAT week for Marina Bay at the @thequincychamber Annual Showcase! We’d like to congratulate two of our members for their efforts. @marinastudios_boston Founder/CEO Marina Cappi was awarded the 1st Annual Phyllis Godwin Women in Business Award. This $7,500 grant is awarded to a woman-owned business in the name of the glass ceiling-shattering former CEO/Chair of Granite City Electric. Congratulations Marina! @breakrockbrewing was awarded the 5th Annual Bruce Wood Memorial Grant. This is a $5,000 grant awarded to a Quincy small business that exemplifies founding Quincy Chamber Board Member Bruce Wood’s business sense and commitment to the community he loved. Congratulations to Founder/President Jay Southwood and the team at Break Rock Brewing! The @mbbaquincy would like to congratulate these members, and all of the evening’s award recipients, on their well-earned recognition. The business community in Marina Bay, and in @cityofquincy as a whole, is dynamic, diverse, and crushing it!
