Festive lights along the boardwalk, a floating Christmas tree among the boats, pop-up shopping markets, nonprofit fundraisers, open houses, three new bus stops and a reliable ferry are just the start of a long list of ideas from the leaderes of a new business association hoping to make Marina Bay the city’s next thriving commercial district.

At last night’s Quincy Chamber of Commerce Annual Showcase City of Quincy Mayor Tom Koch shared an exciting update regarding this summer’s ferry schedule – WEEKEND FERRY SERVICE! The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority – MBTA has purchased a dedicated ferry for Quincy. It will run from 4/28 to 11/26, with stops at Seaport, Logan Airport, and Aquarium (Central Wharf). With the addition of a dedicated boat for Quincy, riders can expect increased trip frequency. And for the first time, weekend service will also be available! We expect this to come online 5/24 and run until 10/12 on a triangular route for Quincy and Winthrop with stops at Seaport, Logan Airport, and Aquarium (Central Wharf). We encourage the public to utilize this wonderful transportation option and help prove it is worth having in Marina Bay in the long term! We can envision a future with year-round service, including nights. We hope you can, too! ⛴
